Cartooning and Illustrations
Susan is Cartoonist-in-Residence for Grief Matters, a non-profit research group working to increase awareness of grief "so that we can all better support ourselves, others and our communities.”
She spent November, 2024 at the Can Serrat International Art Residency, Spain, working on visual narrations about health care and compassion. She was also invited to the first-ever Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s Graphic Novel and Visual Narratives residency, 2022. She has studied at the Center for Cartoon Studies, Vermont, and completed the year-long intensive online comics course, Sequential Artists’ Workshop, Florida. Susan holds a BFA from NSCAD University and a MFA, Creative Nonfiction, from the University of King’s College.
